Frequently Asked Questions

What do we have to wear?

Just something comfortable that you  can move around freely in without restriction.  We do recommend you have something easy to pull on for Savasana as you may get cold (e.g.: a zip up jacket).

We do offer the chance to purchase t-shirts & zip up jackets with the Little Tree Yoga logo on if wanted.

What do we need we need to bring?

A yoga mat & please bring a drink. A blanket & eye pillow / mask are optional.

Can I stay with my child during the class?

I am afraid not, for safeguarding reasons as well as it would be unfair to the other children in the class.  With the exception of our family class.

What do I need to wear on their feet?

The lessons are normally barefoot unless there is a health reason they would need to keep their shoes on.

Does I have to be flexible?

Certainly not, yoga improves flexibility - you do not have to be flexible to practice.

Does my child have to be quiet during children's lessons?

No, absolutely not.  The main part of our children's lessons are very interactive, time for quiet comes at the end of our lesson in Savasana - where the children all lay still and are quiet on their mats.

What happens during a Childrens class?

Our classes are a combination of yoga, mindfulness, meditation, colouring, songs, dance, games, arts / crafts & story time which will varied lesson to lesson depending on age and theme.

What happens during a Teen class?

Teen classes are similar to an adult practice but tailored especially for teens.

How big is the class?

Our classes are kept at smaller numbers to ensure best practice / good engagement / safety.

Can we try one class before we commit to the term?

You certainly can , we understand that not everything is for everyone.  You can try one class before you decide if you want to join the block or not.

The block as started do we need to wait for the next one?

Providing there is space in the class you are welcome to join any time

Do I need to pay in advance?

If you chose the block payment, where you pay in one payment to get the class reduction then yes this is paid 48 hours before the first lesson on the block.

If you chose to pay weekly, you pay either BACS 48 hours in advance to each class or cash payments you pay a week in advance.

This is just to avoid any disruption to the beginning of classes.  Failure to pay means you will risk losing your Child's space.

If you are booking a one off class (e.g. toddler, family yoga etc) the full payment is due in advance to book your space.

Courses / workshops will require a deposit to reserve.

Can I reserve a space?

Spaces will be held for 24 hours for term time classes /48 hours for one off classes, workshops or courses from point of email with booking instructions being sent to you, your class fee / deposit holds your space - failure to submit payment means your space will be released for public booking.

This is the only fair way I can do this as many people request to book a space, don't pre pay and then don't turn up for classes whilst there are people waiting for class spaces.

What if we are late arriving?

Due to the nature of the classes to avoid disturbance to the beginning of the class, we do lock the door as class starts - this is also for safety reasons during the class too.

Will you be adding any more classes in to the timetable?

Its a possibility, things can change quickly.  You need to register interest with us for classes and we can let you know if anything comes up suitable for your needs.
