Mindfulness
All people experience stress at some point in their lives, some more than others.
We often miss the signs as it can be shown or displayed in children in other ways compared to adults, this can often be confused with "naughty behaviour" some other signs may be anger, defiance, avoidance, lack of focus or general negativity.
As adults we may fail to realise the true impact stress can have on the lives of our children but the fact is children are living in a stressful time.
There are many ways in which mindfulness can assist your children with their thoughts and how they process them. This can quite easily be added into your daily life even with small tasks such as a small amount of meditation or just bringing more gratitude into your home - they all make a difference to have a more positive outlook on life especially when sometimes there are things we can't control and we may dislike.
The best part is some simple exercises can take as little as 5 minutes each day.
Who can benefit from Mindfulness
Mindfulness can be beneficial to us all (even us adults) but children especially teenagers would greatly benefit may be going through exams, tests, bullying, increased peer/family pressure, self doubting, lack of confidence, thinking about the future, moving home or schools to even having trouble sleeping.
How we can help
We offer Mindfulness classes or workshops on a 1:1 basis or to small groups.
These are available for children of school age from Year 1 to Year 11.
We will give your children an overview of how mindfulness can help them with tips, guides and techniques that can be incorporated into their daily lives.
Research has proven that mindfulness training has the ability to increase attention and social emotional awareness.
